The Museum of Everything

Welcome to The Museum of Everything website, where you can find out what's cooking at the Britain's first and only wandering space for the untrained, undiscovered and unintentional artists of the modern world.

Earlier this year, the museum visited its relatives in NYC, receiving a true Yankee welcome at the Metro Art Show and the Outsider Art Fair. Read of our mishaps in the NY Times, the NY Observer and Vogue or click here. And if you're currently in Manhattan, visit The Tiny Shop of Everything at Shop Grey Area, 574 Broadway, 2nd Floor, 10012. between Houston and Prince.

The Museum of Everything is deciding what it fancies getting up to this year. To be the first on your block to know where we'll be next, type your email in the box below to receive our award-winning misspelt newsletter:

EXHIBITION #4 // LONDON, 2011

In September 2011, The Museum of Everything opened Exhibition #4 at Selfridges. The first global survey of progressive studios for self-taught artists across the planet, Exhibition #4 featured 500 works across 35,000 sft, including all the windows along Oxford Street, the entire Ultralounge exhibition space and The Shop of Everything, where a vast range of books, prints and clothing celebrated the work of the artists in the show.

With over 100,000 visitors over 10 weeks, Exhibition #4 proved the most successful show in the history of both museum and store, with substantial media coverage (click here) acknowledging it as a highlight of Frieze 2011. An additional show, Exhibition #4.1, curated 55 works by the celebrated American artist Judith Scott in the former Selfridges Hotel. Her powerful life-story was told on BBC2's The Culture Show, the first time any self-taught artist has been presented by this leading arts programme. You can watch the clip here or read presenter Miranda Sawyer's review here.

If you didn't visit Exhibition #4 in the flesh, Exhibition #4D offers a digital experience at www.digevery.com - and you can discover more artists and studios via The Workshops of Everything at www.workevery.com. Limited edition prints, books and catalogues, with contributions from Cindy Sherman, Tal R, Sir Ken Robinson, Matthew Higgs, David Byrne, Adam Phillips and more can be found at The Shop of Everything - or by clicking here.

The museum's most ambitious enterprise yet. Time Out
We can't recommend this show enough, so please go see it too. More than once. Art Wednesday
Breathtakingly fresh. ArtLyst
An impressive and thought-provoking body of work. Arts Thread A quiet, emotive show featuring the extraordinary work of Judith Scott, impeccably installed and stunningly lit in the empty warehouse space above the luxurious Selfridges, graduating from an exploding cabinet of curiosities to a museum quality show worthy of the name.
